JAKARTATODAY.ID,JAKARTA - Band ini terbentuk pada tahun 1994-2002. Di Periode ini mereka bertemu, bermain, berkelahi, latihan dan menulis lagu bersama-sama.

Di tahun 2002, The S.I.G.I.T. menandatangani kontrak dengan Spills Records dan meluncurkan mini album (EP) perdananya serta mulai perform di beberapa bar gigs dan tempat musik lainnya.

Soul Sister yang merupakan single perdana The S.I.G.I.T. menjadi hit single di beberapa radio lokal Bandung dan Jakarta.

Majalah MTV Trax mendeskripsikan The S.I.G.I.T. sebagai "The Hottest Rock N Roll Band in Town".
